For decades, Rioja wines were defined by their aging requirements (Crianza/Reserva/Gran Reserva) and the influence of American Oak barrels. While we also enjoy those wines, the wines from Bideona tell a story that is more specific to place. These wines are crafted with the belief that each region, village, and vineyard within Rioja has distinct qualities and characteristics to share through the wine. They focus on terroir, instead of aging and oak. It’s still Rioja, but it’s pure and focused on how the land shapes the wine.
On October 12, Jon and Sam share dishes to complement selections from Bideona, while producer Caroline Abbott shares stories of the land, the grapes, and the wines themselves. Join us and get tickets here!
