Join us on September 18th for our Icons of Tuscany wine dinner! You will get to know the range of wines from this lauded region of Italy, starting with sparkling and white wines, and moving into the age-worthy, complex, and elegant reds. We will pay special attention to the Sangiovese grape through a tasting of three top tier Chianti and Brunello bottlings from the excellent 2020 vintage.
The following six wines will be enjoyed during the meal:
Fèlsina, Spumante Brut, Metodo Classico sparkling wine
Sanguineto, Toscana Bianco 2023
Montepeloso, “A Quo” 2023
Bibbiano, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, “Vigna del Capannino” 2020
Fèlsina, Chianti Classico Riserva, “Rancia” 2020
Agostina Pieri, Brunello di Montalcino 2020
The favorite trio will be on hand to guide this unique experience at Four Winds Farm, starting with Tom Loup of Vino Veritas, who will be on hand to speak about the wines and wineries. Jay Hutchinson, former sommelier of Michelin-starred Ai Fiori in New York and now Director of Strategy & Business Operations at Four Winds Farm, will oversee beverage service. Chef Jon Rosnow, one of the finest pasta craftsmen in the Midwest, has prepared a menu influenced by Tuscany but complemented with unique, local touches. Look for his signature hand grown and foraged ingredients in each course.
