Laura is the co-owner and CFO of Vino Veritas. In her role at Vino Veritas, she handles the financial, regulatory and human resources aspects of the company. 

When as an undergraduate in Economics at UC Davis she enrolled in a Viticulture 101 class, she found her textbook on the pleasure reading shelf of her then boyfriend, Mark King. He lent her the book on the promise that she would not yellow highlight the book and return it at the end of the class. Fast forward through marriage, several dual career moves including living in France for four years, and three kids. She ultimately landed in Wisconsin for a key role with GE Healthcare.  

In Mark’s perusing of the wine stores in WI, he found them lacking the small, family-owned artisan wine that they had both grown to love and hence Vino Veritas was born in 2005.

Laura continues her dual life as a medical device serial entrepreneur and co-owner of Vino Veritas. She is currently the Founder and CEO of BiaCure Therapies.

Born and raised in San Francisco, she is passionate about medical innovation, the power of teams in transformational change and mentorship. Her first wine love discovered on her early trips to Sonoma with Mark was red zinfandel. Her palette has grown to encompass amazing wines from all over the world. Her love of wine is all about the people, their passions, their stories, their heritage and how that transforms into an experience of great wine flavors that you enjoy with friends and family.
