For more than 400 years, the Amoreau family has continuously managed Château Le Puy, AOC Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, located on the same plateau as Saint Emilion and Pomerol. The Amoreau family is proud of their 15 generations of winemakers since 1610.
In 1990, Jean-Pierre and Pascal Amoreau began producing a wine without added sulfites, which requires a very strict selection of grapes. The two essential red cuvées of the estate, “Emilien” and “Barthelemy” are raised in barrel for 24 months. “Barthelemy” is produced without adding sulfur dioxide, and accrued using the bâtonnage technique according to a precise calendar based on the cycles of the moon.
All the vineyards of the Château are organic and biodynamic.
