Born into a winemaking family for 7 generations, Olivier Giroux grew up among the vineyards of Fuissé. The family estate and his studies sparked a passion in him and he would become a winemaker. Eager to expand his knowledge, Olivier spent several years in the winemaking regions of southern France managing a wine estate in the Rhône Valley before returning to tend to the cherished vineyards of his homeland.
Today, the estate counts 8.6 hectares of vines across seven parcels, principally in Pouilly-Loché, with plots in Macon-Loché and Pouilly-Fuissé rounding out the holdings. Olivier Giroux devotes all his energy to enhancing Clos des Rocs through careful vineyard management and meticulous winemaking. Deep down he has one goal: to bring pleasure to wine lovers through his wines.
