Domaine de la Saraziniere

Domaine de la Saraziniere

A nearly century-old domaine in the town of Bussières in southern Burgundy, the Trebignaud family are committed to the continued maintenance of the family’s old-vine plots. The results will excite anyone who is looking for high quality Burgundy, let alone those looking for such impressive values.

Unlike most in the Maconnais, the standards at Sarazinière are high. Guillaume, the fourth-generation of the family, has recently taken the reins from his father Philippe and is imbued with the spirit of the family and their home. Philippe was the first member of the family to even bottle wine.

Guillaume tends to 11 hectares of predominantly Chardonnay spread over more than two dozen parcels. The wines of Sarazinière are multi-faceted, refreshing, and expressive. Exemplified by the centenary vines of Chardonnay and Gamay planted by Philippe’s great-grandfather, each wine is made focusing on select parcels meant and aged to emphasize their specific qualities and terroirs.
