Jean-Phillipe Fichet

Jean-Philippe Fichet has assembled this Meursault-based domaine parcel by parcel over two decades. Viticulture and vinifications aim to capture terroir, delineation, and minerality in the wines. Jean-Philippe aims to know his vines, and to work with them to find a healthy equilibrium. He eschews chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. 

Jean-Philippe has always been in contact with the vine since he represents the third generation of winegrowers in his family. It was in 1981 thanks to the transfer of a sharecropping lease from his father that his installation came to fruition. The trust of the latter and that of the owners allowed him to work on their premises with their equipment for three years: It was therefore at the age of 20 that he vinified his first vintage.
