The Piedmont Guy

The Piedmont Guy was founded by Weston Hoard. He is a midwesterner who moved to Barolo to work with the renowned Paolo Scavino. The opportunity to work alongside the Scavinos in the vineyards and the cellar contributed profoundly to his understanding of wine production in the heart of Piedmont.

After four years in Barolo, Weston returned to the Midwest in 2011 and channeled his experience in Italy into his project called The Piedmont Guy. The sole charge of this niche importing company is bringing the great wines of Piedmont to the United States. As a hyper-focused importer based in the United States, The Piedmont Guy proudly represents family-owned wineries dedicated to producing singular wines from the Italian region of Piedmont. 

Today, Weston is joined by Cameron Abbott and Amy Ezrin. They are a small team that brings a huge amount of experience and talent to the game.
