Vigneti Massa is a family-run winery, founded by the ancestors Massa in 1879. Today, it boasts a property of 23 hectares on the hills of Monleale, at about 300 meters above sea level. The most typical vines of the territory are cultivated, but above all, the native white Timorasso grape. Thanks to the great work by Walter Massa, he himself is generally recognized as the “father of Timorasso”.
Walter Massa began cultivating and making wine in the 1980s. In 1987, he made the first production of Vigneti Massa, and in 2000 Walter began to bottle the different crus separately. Currently, the vineyard in addition to Timorasso vines also boasts that of Barbera, Freisa, Croatina and Moscato.
All the bottles, the result of the genius mind of Walter Mass, which arise from a deeper appreciation of what is the nature of a land that, without the same Walter Mass, it would have been otherwise little known, and abandoned to its own fate.
